Just a quick post today. I’m making progress with developing my new style. I’ve decided to start doing fast illustrations of some of my favourite book scenes. Here’s one from Sherlock Holmes. 

Sometimes I know I can be a bit precious with my work and layer in way too much detail. With this one, I started the image without actually having my usual Wacom tablet and was reduced to using the trackpad on my mac. That actually gave the image a really rough look which I kind of like.
